I was born and raised in Duanesburg, NY, a small upstate community bordering the New York State capital of Albany. Attending Duanesburg High School I played soccer, basketball, and baseball while spending much of my free time in the art studio.
Needing a change of scenery I longed for a taste of urban life and found that in Philadelphia. My college years in Philly were a collective four year balancing act keeping college soccer and industrial design in harmony. I learned the value of managing my time and resources resulting in a strong, focused, efficient work ethic. As a result of this, I have been able to excel in both soccer and design. I have received honors from the IDSA as a Student Merit Award Winner as well as CACC Conference MVP honors on the soccer field.
I've spent the few years at Smart Design as a member of the ID team. My responsibilities include developing project content as both a project lead and supporting member, as well as generating and evolving concepts for projects in fields including kitchen and home goods, soft goods, athletics, consumer electronics, appliances, and public transit. I've also spearheaded recruiting efforts and helped expand the team's skill set as an intern coordinator.
Feel free to reach out with any questions, notes, or opportunities. I'm always on the hunt for the next project, challenge, and experience.
